Aadhar Payment app which has been introduced by the IDFC bank in association with central government bodies UIDAI and NPCI would be available for merchants to accept digital payments from their customers. The Android app can be used by downloading it from the Google Play Store and connecting it with the biometric scan device which is available for just Rs 2000.
UPDATE: App launch has been announced, however it is not yet available for public, detailed information would be available soon.
How to Use Aadhar Payment App
The use of IDFC Aadhar Payment App is very simple, the merchants first need to download the Aadhar Pay App from the Google Play Store and follow the steps given below.
STEP 1: Merchant Login
Open the Aadhar Payment App and login or register as merchant on the application and connect the phone with biometric scan device.
STEP 2: Aadhar Number & Fingerprint Scan
In the second step, enter you Aadhar number and authenticate using the fingerprint scan and then tap proceed.
STEP 3: Receive Payments
To receive payments using the Aadhar Payment App, tap on “Aadhar Pay” button to reach to next screen.
STEP 4: Customer Authentication
In the next screen, select the bank from which customer wants to make the payment and enter his Aadhar Number and the amount to be received. After these details are entered correctly, use biometric scan to take fingerprint of the customer and authenticate the payment.
STEP 5: Confirmation
After authentication, you will see a confirmation screen where the received amount and last 4 digits of Aadhar number of customer will be displayed.
